Hello marzes,How was your Christmas? Ours was great! We spent it at home where only the three of us (Me,My husband and my daughter) celebrated it.We used to have Noche Buena at my Mother-In-Laws house but this year we decided to have a simple celebration at home.
We had Carbonara,Leche Flan,Fruit Salad w/ melon =) and we ordered Pizza. (Our favorite "Domino's Pizza").We also had some fruits and bread.before Noche Buena we shared some of our foods to our relatives who lives nearby because we were very sure that we couldn't consume all the foods that we had.
anyways,I will share a budget friendly carbonara sans parmesan cheese.lols.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 any desired pasta
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 can cream of mushroom
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 pouch all purpose cream
- 1 can mushroom
- 250 grams Bacon
- 250 grams Ham
- 1 clove gralic (minced)
- 1 onion (minced)
- Cheese (grated)
- 1 cup of chicken stock
Procedures:
Pasta:
- Put pasta in a boiling water.Put 1 teaspoon of cooking oil and a pinch of salt.
- Cook for 8 minutes.
Carbonara Sauce:
1. Fried bacon and ham,set aside.
2. Sautee onion,garlic,ham and bacon in butter.
3. Pour evaporated milk and cream of mushroom soup.
4. Add more mushrooms (optional) and all purpose cream.
5. Pour 1 cup of chicken stock.
6. Season with black pepper.( I used ground white pepper)
7. Let it simmer until it thickens then remove from heat.
8. Top it over pasta and serve.
