Pretty Practical Mom

Good day mga marse! so my firstborn Sophia just turned seven last January 5, How time flies talaga...I can still remember when she was just a baby cooing and babbling excitedly when we would talk to her. Now a lot has changed. She's now growing to be a fine lady..(char!!) lakas maka 18 ng fine lady noh?? haha. Funny thing was that she really thought na super nagchange na ang aura nya, one time she approached me and said "ma, I think my face is different now, I just looked in the mirror and I noticed some changes ma...parang nagiba to (pointing te sides of her nose and chin )" haha talaga ba? Anyway we weren't really planning to give her any party, The first plan was to just eat out and buy her a toy as a gift. I just can't understand why super big deal sa pinas ng seventh birthday noh...sabe ko nga sa sarili ko hindi ako magpapaapekto sa mga 7th birthday na yan...haha Ang mahal mahal, masyadong magastos ang magpaparty ngayon mga mamshies... pero 4 days before ...

         I was thinking of what snack to prepare for the kid's meryenda. My work would usually finish at around 2 in the afternoon, At that time yung focus ko nasa kung ano ang dapat kung iprepare, ibake or iluto para sa meryenda ng kids. They would often wake up from their afternoon nap at 3:30-4 pm so It's a perfect timing for me to prepare some snacks for them....      ... while browsing for some recipes I came by to a post sa isang FB group where in they were talking about buko pie. One of my favorite snacks is Shawarma. Whenever I have a craving for it I would really go to SM center which is the nearest place where we can buy Shawarma. There's only one Shawarma food stall there though that's the Leylam Shawarma. I like their Shawarma, It's OK, tasty . I like it when it's dripping with sauce however it's quite inconvenient that whenever I crave for it I have to go somewhere just to have a taste of it. Hassle!  So I thought of making Shawarma at home but I don't know how to make the seasoning so I look for some online stores where I can buy it. On her 6th birthday, We decided to have two celebrations, One at home for our close friends and relatives and the other one was held in their kindergarten school. This time Sophia wanted to have a "My little Pony" birthday party . I am a very thrifty person, I know how important it is to celebrate birthdays and I do love celebrating my daughter's birthday but not to the point that I will spend too much on it. I mean you can spend a little but don't go overboard. Before I ask her what she would like for her birthday party I already set a budget for it and decided to stick to it come hell or high water haha! Hello there mga marse, After a year and some months of hiatus, I am back again. So many things had happened good thing mostly happy moments naman. something to treasure and of course there were some learnings din that made me and my husband stronger and more mature. Anyways , I am so excited to share a lot of walang halong kyeme at kaartehang posts mga marse. I'll be posting more easy to cook, hindi pakakabog at maka-masang recipe for all the mothers out there (including me, ofcourse ) na nasa state of calamity ang wallet.
